Raise your hand!.. hmm *counts* Yeah, anyone liked Creed? Hm, a few Creed-haters in here? Don't be afraid, this band 'Alter Bridge' might be 75% Former-Creed, but it is nothing like it. Interested again? Well.. you better be, this album is really great! If you take a look the artwork of this CD, you can almost hear a little voice scream 'BUY ME!' The artwork is really nice, but it's hard to read the things that are written in the booklet, but hey, who needs booklets anyway, they just look nice. You just got to listen to the CD, The 'heavy' opener 'Find The Real' is a real fucking heavy rock song and this is really something you may like as a heavy rock fan, just like a foot-fetishist likes feet! Heavy guitars, flowing basses, deep going drums, a raw voice and guitar solos all over the place. That seems tot be the blueprint Alter Bridge is working on, in general. A CD isn’t any CD, if there isn't a title track on it (well, I guess so, because almost every band is doing this). Alter Bridge isn't going to break this tradition, because their second song on the record is called 'One Day Remains'. But it doesn't make the song less awesome. I'm starting to like this band more and more. After the 2nd song, their first single makes it’s appearance. 'Open Your Eyes' is definitely one of the best songs on this record. After this explosive beginning, Alter Bridge fall back into the more melodic and harmonic songs such as the beautiful 'In Loving Memory'. Like I said before, this album is really great, And I am already questioning myself if this first record isn't of too much quality and that their second album is going to be a disappointment.
