12/02/05 - Alter Bridge will be on Rockline Radio on December 5th! Taken from Rockline Radio: Monday - December 5, 2005 Alter Bridge Alter Bridge has joined us twice to support their debut album "One Day Remains". In fact, they gave us the world radio premiere and performed live on the show August 9, 2004. Obviously, things turned out pretty well for the band after that and they joined us once again in April of this year. Due to a last minute cancellation regarding another artist, we are now pleased to offer this exclusive Encore ROCKLINE featuring Alter Bridge performing live and describing what was then their new band and album. The show is filled with anticipation and hopefulness as Mark Tremonti, Myles Kennedy, Scott Phillips and Brian Marshall prepared to embark on what was then an unknown journey. ROCKLINE has learned that Alter Bridge is ready to return to the studio soon in preparation for their sophomore release. So, before that event takes place, we'll revisit this moment in the infancy of a band that has now carved their niche and made a place for themselves in the pantheon of Rock. Alter Bridge has just concluded a tour with Three Doors Down, and "One Day Remains" has been certified gold in the U.S. Learn more here. Join us for an Encore evening with Alter Bridge, highlighted by a live performance on the next ROCKLINE! |

Alter Bridge will play two songs before going to the State Theatre across the street to open for Chevelle. Tremonti told LAUNCH he may also play in the celebrity softball game on July 10th at Comerica Park. Alter Bridge will play one of its own songs and a Detroit-themed cover tune, which might be Kiss' "Detroit Rock City." Alter Bridge recently returned from a European tour and kicks off a short U.S. swing on July 8th at Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. "Shed My Skin" from the group's debut album, One Day Remains, is included on the Fantastic Four soundtrack album, which comes out Tuesday (July 5th). |

To preview it, go to www.fantasticfoursoundtrack.com. | June 10th - June 26th - European Tour The guys have completed their summer European Tour which included many festivals. Michael Tremonti posted updates to let us know how they got on. Glasgow and Donnington Were Amazing Hey Alter Bridge Fans!!!! Just wanted to let you all know that the band as well as the crew is having a blast over here in Europe so far. It all started with a very long plane flight to Glasgow. When we arrived it was 9:00 in the morning so we had a full day off there. Most of us did not do much as we were all pretty jet lagged although Myles and a few of the crew did get to catch Velvet Revolver playing that evening. Next day was show day and the crowd in Glasgow did not dissapoint. The venue was jam packed with between 800 and 900 screaming fans. Logan came on and rocked the house, although all of us were so busy we were not able to see them. We sure did hear the crowd, though, and they loved them. AB came on next and absolutely destroyed the place. The band felt a little rusty after not playing for a month but the rabid crowd sure eased the transition. The band played all the songs off of the CD as well as Kashmir by Led Zepplin. After the show we were whisked away by bus to Donnongton, England, for the Download Festival. The place was massive. Anytime we had to go anywhere we had to be shuttled by van, it was so huge. The band did a ton of press throughout the day. Mark was treated like a guitar hero there. He did a Interview and roundtable discussion as well as a photo shoot with Total Guitar Magazine(The biggest guitar mag in the UK). He will be on a future cover with Slash and the guitarists from Black Sabbath and Killswitch Engage. We also did a huge autograph signing in the Kerrang tent where the fans seemed lined up for a mile! I could not even see the end of the line! We were only supposed to do it for 15 min. but we extended it for a half hour longer because they wanted to sign for as many fans as they could. The show itself was amazing. The band stuck to mostly the hard songs off the cd for their 40 min set and played Kashmir as well. The crowd simply went apeshit. All 40,000 of them. It was the biggest crowd Myles had ever played for and he told the crowd that they were making his dreams come true. The crowd, needlesss to say, erupted. During One Day Remains, Myles jumped off the massive stage and waded into the crowd, singing the entire way. He made it all the way to the soundboard and back, singing the song, smiling, and slapping hands the whole way. I think security had a heart attack when he did this but they followed him and kept him safe. What a show!!! So here I sit in Paris, France. We had an off day here, yesterday, and last night we(band and crew) all went to see the new Star Wars. We found a theatre that was playing it in English although the French subtitles were a bit distracting. By the way, the Alter Bridge band and crew all give the new Star Wars a big thumbs up for your viewing pleasure. Well, got to run as I am getting ready to leave the hotel and head to the venue for the show tonight in Paris. Take care, welcome to the new and improved board, and we will see you all soon. I'll check in again when I have some time. Alter Bridge Tour Report 06/19/05 Ok, let's see, so much has happened. I think last time we spoke was right before the Paris show. The band had a lot of fun at the Paris show. Actually, it was not in Paris proper but out in the suburbs somewhere near a college campus. It was a much smaller show than Glasgow with only a couple hundred people in attendence. The promoter also told us that it was exam week at the college so it would be hard for people to attend. Tori Amos was playing across the street and I was told she was having the same problem. Anyway, it didn't really matter. Those couple hundred fans screamed and sang along like they were a crowd of a thousand. The guys gave it their all and came off the stage extremely happy. One of the things that I love about AB is that they never do a lay-up. No matter how big or small the show is, you can always count on them giving 110%. After the show we all got to hang with the fans outside for a while. Myles and Mark were treated to a stirring rendition of Open Your Eyes by two gentlemen who pulled an acoustic guitar out of their car. Pretty cool. Next was the show in Munich, Germany, where we opened for Three Doors Down. Hanging with the 3DD guys is like a big family runion. For those who do not know, 3DD opened for Creed back in the day quite a bit and, through that, they all became good friends. AB sold out a Munich show a few months back and Brad was telling us the crowd always goes crazy for 3DD in Munich, so everyone knew they were in for a good show. An interesting story... I talked to a journalist outside the venue who was kind enough to give us a huge stack of magazines. It was every single magazine that AB had ever been in in Europe. We can not read any of them because they are all in various different languages but they are cool keepsakes nonetheless. Even cooler was the fact that he told us that he was covering a festival in Switzerland the night before where Iron Maiden headlined. He was telling the Iron Maiden guys that he was going to see AB the next night and he said they got really interested and started asking him if he had seen them live before and if so, how good were they? He told the band that he had seen AB twice in Europe before and that, in his opinion, AB is one of the best live bands currently on tour. He then said that Bruce Dickinson said that he loved AB and couldn't put the cd down. You should have seen the smiles on AB's faces when I told them that. Brian is a huge, huge, Iron Maiden fan and also remember that the first concert I ever took Mark to was Iron Maiden. The show itself was incredible. AB tore the roof off the place as did 3DD. Definitely the best crowd reaction thus far even beating the Download Festival, which was insane in its own right. Myles and Mark also went up and played during 3DD's set which generated thunderous applause. It was a song off their new album called Live For Today. Myles sang the choruses and Mark shredded on guitar. It was awesome. Afterwards, we had a big 3DD/AB party and then headed to Berlin. I did not do much on our day off in Berlin, as I was exhausted but i know Brian went and got a piece of the Berlin Wall and did some sightseeing. There were also quite a few stars at our hotel including Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. The world premiere of Batman Begins was across the street that evening. Turns out the happy couple got engaged the next night in Paris. Crazy. Also ran into Christian Bale outside of the hotel. Nice guy and a hell of an actor. NIN was also staying at the hotel and they invited us to their concert that evening. Myles and Flip attended with a couple of our crew and said they had a great time and that NIN puts on a hell of a live show. "A very angry show" as Myles so aptly put it. Mark sat in his hotel room and wrote new songs and played guitar all night. Does he ever do anything else? Haha. The next day was show day in Berlin, again opening for 3DD. It was pretty much exactly the same as the Munich show except that AB had to work a bit harder to win the crowd over. We had only played Berlin once, almost a year ago, for a few hundred people. I do not think most people knew who AB was when they first started to play but they sure as hell knew them by the end! The crowd got more and more into it as the show progressed and I think AB had the crowd fully immersed by the 3rd song. By the time AB finished with a cover of Kashmir to end the set, the crowd was going crazy. It is a really special thing to watch a band slowly win over a crowd like that. It's like watching a living, breathing entity come to life. After the show we all said goodbye and thanked evryone from 3DD, band and crew, for letting us spend some time with them overseas. 3DD is a true class act. Next we had an off day in Amsterdam. I think. I can not recollect much of it. What can I say? It's Amsterdam. The place rocks. Nuff said. We woke up the next morning at the Fields of Rock in Nijmegen, Holland. Check out this lineup.... AB went on first, followed by Moterhead(best show of the day I thought. Holy crap those guys rock hard!), Slayer(Mark stood on the side of the stage watching, in absolute heaven), Velvet Revolver, Audioslave, Black Sabbath and finally Rammstein. It was an honor to even be on this bill. I mean, think about it, all the bands after us consisted of all the bands that are our elders. The bands we all listened to and loved growing up. Motorhead and Slayer have been around for ever. Velvet combines GNR and STP, two of my favorite bands. Audioslave has the guys from Soundgarden and Rage. And then you have Ozzy and Black Sabbath, one of the greatest bands ever. It was awe inspiring. AB went up there and crushed it. The crowd was cheering relentlessly, clapping with their hands in the air and singing. Myles busted ass on stage during the second song, slipping on a set list. He got up right away and, after the song, declared it a "Spinal Tap" moment to the crowd. Pretty funny. Backstage was a who's who of rock stars. Mark and Cornell exchanged hellos at one point. It was very brief. I asked Mark why he did not talk to him more and he told me that besides James Hetfield of Metallica, Chris Cornell was the only other person in rock he is nervous to talk to because he loved Soundgarden so much growing up. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, even rock stars get nervous and have "rock star moments". Tom Morello also went out of his way to come up and speak with Mark. The two of them had a long convo about guitars and such I would imagine. It was the first time both of them met. Turns out they are both fans of each other. Everything else, however, paled in comparison to the arrival of Jimmy Page. Talk about a true rock star. I think everyone in the entire place was scared to talk to him. Myles said he walked by him twice and could not screw up the courage to say hi. In fact, he told me this morning that he lost sleep over it last night. Haha. So that brings us to today, an off day in Madrid, Spain. Most of it was spent flying from Holland. Pretty scary plane flight, I must say. I thought we were going down at one point. And, to make matters worse, the damn Spanish airline lost my clothes bag. So here I sit in a hotel, writing to all of you, waiting for my clothes to arrive. Ahhhh, the glamorus life of rock and roll. By the way, Spain. YOU'RE NEXT!!!! See you at the shows. |

12/16/04 - Tour Questions answered by Michael! People in the USA.... we will be touring all throughout 2005. Be patient. If we have not come to your city yet chances are we have not done so because of radio airplay in your city. When Broken Wings comes out I am assuming it will cross over to all formats on radio. When this happens it will open up quite a few new markets that we have not yet played. In the meanwhile continue to call your local stations and request Alter Bridge. That is the best way to ensure that we can come there. People in Europe.... you are getting some dates now and some more are coming for March. We are still working on Italy and I am fairly confident we will play there somewhere in March. It does not, however, look like we will be playing Spain in March. The good news is that we will be going back to Europe in June where we will work hard to book Spain. People in Brazil and South America and also to people in Australia, New Zealand and Japan.... due to the fact that we are working hard to break the band in the US and Europe right now, we have no dates scheduled anytime soon. Do not lose faith! We are taking a hard look at hitting all of these markets at the earliest in late summer. More than likely it may happen in the fall or Winter. 12/13/04 - Broken Wings video is being shot! "Alter Bridge is on the West Coast right now filming the video for their 3rd single, Broken Wings. The director is Dean Karr who did the Open Your Eyes video. One of the actor's from the TV show CSI(Paul Guilfoyle) will appear in this video. It is very different from what these guys have done in the past as either Alter Bridge or Creed. It will be very dark and moody with almost a Twilight Zone theme to it. There is no set date on when this video will come out in the United States because it depends on how long Find The Real stays on the charts. Overseas, however, is a different story. You Europeans will probably see this video before anyone in the states does." Posted by Michael Tremonti on the ABB.net Message Board. |
12/11/04 - Alter Bridge on Jay Leno! "Alter Bridge will perform their new single Find The Real on Jay Leno on Tuesday, January 18th on the NBC network. Check your local listings and set your timers. You will not want to miss this." Posted by Michael Tremonti on the ;ABB.net Message Board. |

10/14/04 - Myrtle Beach show postponed and new Tampa/St. Pete show information! Due to Myles's sickness we have had to postpone the Myrtle Beach show originally scheduled for Friday, October 15th. The new date will be on Friday, November 19th at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach. In addition, to accommodate this, we have moved the make-up St. Pete show from Friday November 19th to Saturday, November 20th at Jannus Landing. All tickets for the original shows will be honored for the make-up dates. Myles has been performing sick for the last week and a half as those who have been to shows well know. He has been a true warrior, going up there and singing each night when he feels horrible. Unfortunately it is getting to a point where if we keep wheeling him up there to sing it could cause serious damage to his vocal chords. Myles's health is our #1 priority and only rest will get him better. Thank you in advance for being understanding. This information was posted by Michael at the ABB.net message board! |

We'll bring you more information on this as we hear it once it is confirmed on the setlist. Source: ABB.net Message Board |

5/23/04 - Mark posts at the ABB.net message board! To cap off an already awesome day for Alter Bridge news, The Man himself, Mark Tremonti, dropped by the message board to show his appreciation to his fans. What a guy! Whats happening y'all. Sounds like you guys are just as excited as I am about this new band. One thing I can promise you is that I put my best foot foreward and pulled out all of my best song ideas from the past five years and I'm very proud of the outcome. I can't wait for you all to get to know Myles as a frontman, I believe he is the best the world has to offer and he is also very eager to get Alter Bridge off the ground. So stay tuned, there is no more waiting around...it is all about to happen and we plan to work around the clock to get things started. Thanks for being there, your loyalty means the world to us. See you soon. - Mark Source: The Tremonti Thread |
5/23/04 - Single and tour news Ken F, AB's booking agent was kind enough to answer some questions for us, he said the single was set to be released mid-july, but got moved up to the end of June. He also stated that the band will tour in the fall, starting out at smaller venues initially. Also, Michael has given us another update along the same lines. The following is his post at the ABB.net message board: Yes, you all may hear the first single fairly soon. It is an awesome song that highlights every members talents. I can't give any dates yet but we are talking weeks, not months. The song is a mid-tempo anthemic rocker that will play well on all formats of radio. Plus it has a solo that is fairly long, longer than any solos that I have heard on radio in recent years. Mark just completely shreds in it. You also will get a good sense of Myles range and vocal abilities in the song, he sings both high and low. As an added bonus you will hear some amazing harmonies between Mark and Myles in the song. I think it is a great choice for a first single because it has a bit of everything. Did I get anyone salavating yet? P.S. as soon as it gets shipped to radio I will let you all know so that you may call in and request it! Michael also stated that there is no drum solo, but Flip does some amazing work on the song. He also says that the song is one big hook, the kind of song that you'll be humming immediately after hearing it the first time. Lastly, he reported that Mark has just finished doing a radio-edit of the song and his solo will not be cut. In another thread, Michael confirmed that contrary to the Wind-up websites, the official spelling of the band's name is ALTER BRIDGE, two words. He also said that promotional pictures are coming soon, as there is a photo shoot scheduled for next week. Sources: Single News | Spelling and Promo Pics |
5/19/04 - "Update Time!!" A new update from Michael: Just wanted to let you all know that the band has started to record again after taking a week off. The off week consisted of bringing all the recording equipment down to Orlando and setting it up. Right now Marshall is working on his bass tracks and is a little less than half done with all the songs. I have heard the final versions of the songs in contention for the first single and needless to say, they are awesome. Sources: ABB.net Message Board |
5/16/04 - Debunking a Spiderman 2 Rumor There's a rumor circulating that Alter Bridge will have a single on the Spiderman 2 soundtrack. This was first reported on the official Linkin Park message board, but I'd like to report that by all other accounts, this is not true. The confirmed artists for the soundtrack are Train, Dashboard Confessional, The Ataris, Jet, Hoobastank, Yellowcard, Smile Empty Soul, Midtown, Lostprophets, and Taking Back Sunday. 5/5/04 - Fozzy speaks highly of Mark and Alter Bridge As posted on the official site of Fozzy (WWE wrestler Chris Jericho's band): ...Later in the evening we had the pleasure of hooking up with former CREED guitarist/songwriter Mark Tremonti who was recording in Studio A downstairs. He laid down a scorching guest lead on the song 'The Way I Am' and was ultra-cool in general. His new band ALTER BRIDGE will no doubt be another success. And don't believe the hype. Mark is a metalhead at heart and can tear it up to say the least! Source: Alter Bridge BB |
4/30/04 - "New Alter Bridge Update" Michael Tremonti has given us another update on the band: Well, the boys have completed their work in Atlanta and are heading to LA as we speak to mix the three songs in contention for the first single. I just recieved a call from Dale Torborg(our wrestler friend also known as the Demon) who just happened to run into Mark and the boys at the airport in Atlanta. Mark had the unmixed versions of the three songs on cd in his walkman and let Dale listen to it. Needless to say I was extremely excited to hear his thoughts as I have not even heard it yet. Dale said that he listened to it with high expectations and was completely astounded at what he heard. Actually his quote was something like " I knew it was going to be good but it ended up like 20 times better than I thought." He said it sounds "thick and huge" and kept raving about one of Marks guitar solos. He also said that Myles voice is insane. Crap, now I'm in the same boat as all of you! I want to fricking hear it! Thank God I only have a week to wait till they get back. Sorry, I'm a little excited right now, as I truly respect Dale's opinion, as he is a huge rock fan and likes all kinds of music. I'll continue to update as I can. Source: Alter Bridge BB |
4/26/04 - "Your First Alter Bridge Update" Michael Tremonti made his second post on the new Alter Bridge BB today, and here's what he had to say: As of this morning... all 15 drum tracks are finished. All bass lines finished for the 3 songs in contention for the first single. All dirty guitars are finished for the 3 songs as well. Mark will work on the clean guitars today and if all goes well Myles should be doing his first singing tonight!! Source: Alter Bridge BB |
4/22/04 - "FINALLY A Name!" Scott Phillips' Mom broke the news at the FlipOnline board, and we finally know the name of the band: I just talked to Scott P. tonight and he told me that they finally have a name for the new band--ALTER BRIDGE. It's a bridge in Detroit (I think) that connects one side of town with the other. They have all (15) of the drum tracks down and are working on the guitar, bass, and vocals for 3 songs to consider for the first single and video. Scott is really pleased with his drum tracks and said that things in Atlanta were going very well. Listen for them this summer to start doing publicity at various radio stations around the country. I can't wait to hear the finished sound. If it's half as good as what I heard at rehearsal it'll be super! Source: FlipOnline BB |
